Trade qualified in a Building Trade or Electrical / Plumbing with 5+ years Building Repairs, Upgrades and Project Management experience within Aged Care, Social Housing, Leisure or Mine Camps.

This organisation is supporting communities through the provision of well-maitained low-cost / social housing. This role will oversee a mix of internal teams and contractors undertaking Electrical, Plumbing, Painting / Decorating, Glazier, Carpentry and Kitchen / Bathroom renovations.

Base Criteria

Trade qualified in a Building Trade or Electrical / Plumbing with 5+ years Building Repairs, Upgrades and Project Management experience within Aged Care, Social Housing, Leisure or Mine Camps.

Outline Duties
Support and manage the efficient and effective delivery of multiple day-to-day minor works or refurbishment projects ($10K to $75K each); providing key leadership and direction to direct trades and sub-contractors.

You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of multiple concurrent building upgrades, presentation works, repairs, and minor projects (average values of $10K to $60K each) across the Cockburn to Mandurah portfolio in accordance with the Building Code of Australia, Statutory Compliance and Industry Best Practice.

Skills and Attributes 
  • Over 5 years industry experience, you will have gained at least 3 years Project Supervisory experience within an organisation delivering Minor Works to a mix of multi-site premises.
  • You will have excellent Project Supervisory skills, able to undertake site walk-rounds and identify scope of works, arrange contractors for demolitions of kitchens and bathrooms.
  • An excellent communicator, with strong English language skills, you will provide clear and concise instructions, management and direction to direct trades and contractors; while liaising internally at Facilities Manager level.
  • Engaging personality and strong presentation skills
