A strong, skilled and stakeholder-orientated Senior Technical Contracts / Operations Manager to support and lead teams undertaking Planned and Reactive Maintenance and Minor Works across a large site. You will hold formal qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical or HVAC Engineering and ideally also be tertiary qualified in Management. Your experience will include 5+ years Contract or Operations Management, managing technical service delivery within a large or critical site environment.

Directly lead, drive, mentor, support and coordinate managers, and indirectly influence supervisors and trades staff (including contractors) undertaking work across a large site.

Skills and Attributes
- Facilities Engineering, Building Services, Marine Engineering or Data Centre Engineering Management experience overseeing delivery across a large site.
- Effectively give leadership advice, management support and mentor service delivery managers.
- Strong compliance and operational excellence skills.
- 5+ years’ experience in managing a team of technical facilities management staff providing clear direction and timescales to ensure they meet KPI’s.
- An excellent written and verbal communicator, with fluent English language skills, you will provide clear and concise instructions, and undertake internal and external stakeholder interface.
- Engaging personality and well-presented, able to delegate responsibilities to ensure duties are completed.
- A strong manager who can engage fully with frontline staff (direct and contract), undertake walk-rounds, and also provide head-office support and stakeholder engagement.
- Support staff development, diversity programmes and commitment to safe working practices.
- Prior experience working across a large critical environment (data centre / hospital), medical / clinical research facility or University site (with laboratories).
