Maintenance Electrician – Bolivar

A leading Australian meat processor is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their Bolivar site. The role supports the client’s production operations across a variety of shifts, including 4 on/4 off days and nights, ensuring machinery runs safely, efficiently, and reliably.

A leading Australian meat processor is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their Bolivar site. The role supports the client’s production operations across a variety of shifts, including 4 on/4 off days and nights, ensuring machinery runs safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery promptly.
- Reduce reactive maintenance and proactively minimise unplanned downtime.
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance programs to support all internal stakeholders.
- Ensure safety standards and quality assurance practices are applied to all maintenance activities.
- Identify and escalate Animal Welfare, Food Safety, and Quality issues, hazards, and risks.
- Electrical license and an Australian trade qualification.
- Industrial experience in installation, fault-finding, repair, and maintenance of production equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, communicate, and collaborate effectively.
- Active problem solver with the ability to think quickly and resolve issues efficiently.
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong information processing skills.
- Experience interrogating automated applications, processing machinery, and equipment.
- Strong electrical aptitude including SCADA, comms, connectivity, inverters, power conversion, and DANFOSS/variable speed drives.
- Ability to identify and implement improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance.
- Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS is an advantage.
