Job description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a busy food manufacturing facility on afternoon shift. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced FMCG environment where you will be responsible for keeping high-speed production lines running efficiently and safely.
You will be working across a range of processing and packaging equipment, with a strong focus on breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to breakdowns and restore production quickly and safely
- Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance tasks
- Fault find and repair mechanical systems including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulics
- Support production teams to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work is completed in line with food safety and GMP standards
- Record work orders and maintenance activity in CMMS systems
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent)
- Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong breakdown and fault-finding ability
- Knowledge of conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
- Ability to work independently on afternoon shift
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
- Circa $50 an hour + shift loading
- Regular overtime available
