Maintenance Fitter (Afternoon Shift)

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a busy food manufacturing facility on afternoon shift. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced FMCG environment where you will be responsible for keeping high-speed production lines running efficiently and safely.

You will be working across a range of processing and packaging equipment, with a strong focus on breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to breakdowns and restore production quickly and safely
  • Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Fault find and repair mechanical systems including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulics
  • Support production teams to minimise downtime
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with food safety and GMP standards
  • Record work orders and maintenance activity in CMMS systems
About You
  • Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent)
  • Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong breakdown and fault-finding ability
  • Knowledge of conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
  • Ability to work independently on afternoon shift
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards

Shift Details
  • Afternoon shift typically 2:00pm – 10:00pm (Monday–Friday)
