Maintenance Fitter – Day Shift | Penrith, NSW
$50–$53 per hour + Overtime (1.5x after 38 hours)
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing site based in Penrith. This is a newly created role offering strong earning potential, consistent overtime, and the opportunity to take ownership of maintenance on-site.

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing site based in Penrith. This is a newly created role offering strong earning potential, consistent overtime, and the opportunity to take ownership of maintenance on-site.
The Role
- Day shift: 6:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Thursday
- Early finish Fridays (typically 2:30pm)
- Weekly pay cycle
- Daily overtime available, paid at 1.5x after 38 hours
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance (approx. 40/60 split)
- Fault finding, troubleshooting, and repair of plant machinery
- Monthly shutdown maintenance
- Supporting general site upkeep (gates, fences, infrastructure, etc.)
- Managing and organising spare parts as required
- Liaising with operators and coordinating external contractors when required
- Small to medium-sized manufacturing environment
- Semi-automated plant with older-style equipment
- Working with corrugated cardboard machinery and associated systems
- Autonomous role – you’ll often be the sole fitter on-site
- Hands-on, fast-paced environment that can get hot during summer months
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Strong experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance
- Confident working independently and managing your own workload
- Solid fault-finding ability across mechanical systems
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
- Strong communication skills – able to work closely with operators on the floor
- Basic machining and MIG welding experience
- Forklift, Working at Heights, or Confined Space tickets
- Competitive hourly rate above market
