Maintenance Fitter - Day Shift | Food Manufacturing
Bendigo region, VIC: Commutable from (Kangaroo Flat, Golden Square, Eaglehawk, Strathfieldsaye, Marong)
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation based in Bendigo. This is a Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm role, offering excellent work-life balance and long-term stability.
About the Role
Working in a fast-paced production environment, you will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across a variety of processing and production machinery.
This is a hands-on role involving both preventive and breakdown maintenance, with exposure to a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on production and ancillary equipment
- Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to operations
- Support equipment setup, adjustments, and changeovers
- Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting
- Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter (or equivalent experience)
- Proven background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (food/FMCG highly regarded)
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
- Experience working with pumps, conveyors, and gearboxes
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and within a team
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm
