Maintenance Fitter – FMCG Manufacturing (Weekend Shift | Permanent | Circa $180,000 + Super)
Location: Erskine Park area, Western Sydney
We are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturing business within a globally backed food production organisation. The site operates a high-volume, fast-paced production environment with a strong focus on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

About the role
- Permanent Maintenance Fitter position within a high-volume FMCG environment
- Responsible for breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and equipment reliability
- Hands-on, autonomous role within a supportive maintenance team
- Focus on minimising downtime and improving plant efficiency
- Friday: 6am – 2pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 6am – 6pm
- Monday: 6am – 2pm
- Fault finding and breakdown response across packaging, conveying, palletising and food processing equipment
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and implementing corrective actions
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and pneumatic schematics
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with WHS and quality standards
- Trade qualified Fitter & Turner (Australian recognised)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
- Strong background in preventative maintenance and breakdown response
- Welding skills (TIG and/or Stick desirable)
- Experience with power transmission systems and pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Competitive annualised salary package circa $179,000 inclusive of weekend allowances
