Production Supervisor – PM Shift

Our client is a well-established and growing business within the steel and manufacturing industry, servicing sectors including mining, construction, transport and heavy engineering.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their operation in Brisbane and lead the afternoon shift production team.

About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone with a strong manufacturing or steel processing background who can drive productivity, safety, quality and team performance across daily operations.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing workshop activities, coordinating workflow, managing staff performance and ensuring production targets are achieved efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead afternoon shift production teams

• Drive safety, productivity and quality outcomes

• Coordinate workflow and production scheduling

• Monitor machine utilisation and labour performance

• Support and mentor workshop staff

• Liaise with operations and management teams

• Ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time

• Promote a strong team culture and positive leadership environment

About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Strong leadership and people management experience

• Background in steel processing, fabrication, manufacturing or heavy industry

• Trade qualification or engineering background preferred

• Experience with metal cutting operations, CNC - highly regarded

• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A proactive, hands-on management approach
