Large multi disciplined consultancy based in Sydney with an impressive portfolio of projects require a Structural Engineer to assist with the design, compliance, assessments, reports and ratings throughout a number of large commercial and Residential buildings along with major infrastructure projects.
Your role:
You will responsible for (but not limited to)
- Preparing high quality written design documentation and modelling for a range of projects
- preparation of fee proposals, methodologies and tender documentation
- Liaising with architects, project managers, councils, clients, construction contractors, strata managers and other stakeholders
- Applying current Australian Design Codes, NCC, and structural design principles
- Report writing, carrying out investigations of structural issues whilst preparing Insurance and building claims
- Site inspections
- Giving technical advice to clients, colleagues and staff
- Mentoring junior design staff,
- QA/QC including reviewing and approving documentation
Requirements to be considered
- A completed Civil/Structural Engineering Degree that is recognised by Engineers Australia (A MUST)
- 3 - 5 years’ experience
- A strong client focus and desire to deliver practical, sustainable and effective engineering solutions;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Knowledge of Australian construction practices and materials, historically and current
