Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to manage assigned accounts effectively.
- Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with internal teams to commercialise these opportunities.
- Co-create and achieve annual sales and profitability targets for assigned customers.
- Develop and maintain key account plans on an annual basis for assigned customers.
- Utilize the CRM system to capture customer projects, visit reports, and correspondence.
- Coordinate pricing with the regional commercial team, create quotations, and provide approved pricing offers to assigned customers.
- Develop annual pricing contracts and track progress against the contracts on a quarterly basis.
- Obtain accurate customer forecasts of future sales and volumes on a monthly basis.
- Deliver prompt and optimal service to customers, addressing any concerns in partnership with Customer Care, Supply Chain teams, and the Senior Director of Sales.
- Monitor and report on competitor and market activity, highlighting potential market opportunities in monthly reports and internal sales meetings.
- Identify and document problems related to products, processes, and quality systems using the Customer Complaints Report (CCR) system, and coordinate necessary communications for issue resolution both internally and externally.
- Follow safe work practices and rules, ensuring personal and others' safety at all times.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of sales or account management experience in the nutraceutical/nutrition industry with a proven track record of sales success.
- Knowledge of the Dietary Supplement and/or Infant Nutrition industry in Australia/New Zealand.
- Understanding of ingredients and/or manufacturing of products and/or applications is highly advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical and conceptual abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams; SAP experience preferred but not essential.
- Sound interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates clear problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate successfully within a matrix organization.
- Passionate about sales with the ability to work autonomously.
- Capable of building rapport with both customers and colleagues.
- Positive, self-motivated, and driven professional capable of working in a remote environment.
