An established supplier of specialty chemical additives, the company partners with global manufacturers to deliver high-quality solutions to industrial customers across Australia and New Zealand
At an exciting stage of growth, the company is seeking an Account Manager to:
- Manage customer accounts,
- Coordinate pricing between customers and suppliers
- Provide technical and marketing support,
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with both customers and principals.
What they are looking for:
- Proven Industry experience and a track record of sales within the Industrial chemical market.
- Ability to expand sales of existing products to existing customers.
- Ability to actively prospect, develop and expand sales of products to new customers.
- Ability to quickly establish and build sound relationships with both customers and principals.
- Experience handling multinational accounts
- Ability to provide a high level of technical service to the customer base
- Ability to manage the allocated products portfolio including responsibility for profitability, stock and working capital management, forecasting, principal/supplier liaison and marketing mix aspects.
- The resilience and confidence necessary to work in a competitive business environment.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships.
Experience
- 2-3 years related experience.
- Supervisory or Management Experience Not required.
- Tertiary Degree and/or professional experience in field.
- Professional Training and/or Certification
- Relevant technical and sales background as well as market experience.
- Good understanding of the food markets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong commercial and presentation skills
- Great attention to detail
- Able to travel interstate and occasionally overseas
