The Company
My client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality components, specialising in engineered solutions for the mining and materials handling sectors. With a long-standing history of delivering engineering excellence, they are committed to building trusted, long-term relationships with their clients.

As they expand into new regional markets, they are looking for a driven and technically minded Account Manager to join their growing team.

The Role
This hands-on, business-focused role is for a proactive “hunter” who thrives on building relationships. You will manage and grow client accounts, actively pursuing opportunities and delivering tailored solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and estimators, with occasional travel to regional sites.

About You
  • 5–10 years’ experience in B2B sales, ideally within mining, mechanical, or industrial sectors.
  • Technically minded with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive “hunter” with the ability to independently identify opportunities and build new client relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel and work autonomously while collaborating closely with a team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow client accounts, building strong relationships at both site and corporate levels. Understand client challenges and proactively identify solutions.
  • Identify new business opportunities, provide technical recommendations, and close deals. Meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Conduct site visits, provide technical support, and ensure long-term client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver efficient quoting, engineering input, and project delivery. Implement strategic agreements such as exclusive supply or fixed-price contracts where appropriate.
  • Monitor competitor activity and client operations to inform business strategy.
  • Use client feedback to enhance service delivery and develop innovative solutions.
