We’re looking for an experienced AV Programmer to join our Melbourne team. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with strong experience in programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting integrated AV control systems. You’ll be responsible for developing and deploying custom control solutions for complex AV installations while collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and technicians to ensure seamless system performance and client satisfaction.

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced AV Programmer to join our Melbourne team. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with strong experience in programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting integrated AV control systems. You’ll be responsible for developing and deploying custom control solutions for complex AV installations while collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and technicians to ensure seamless system performance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, test, and commission AV control systems including Crestron, AMX, Extron, and Q-SYS platforms
- Develop user interfaces (touch panels, keypads, web-based controls) that are intuitive and client-focused
- Collaborate with design engineers to review system drawings and signal flow diagrams
- Conduct on-site testing, debugging, and system optimisation to ensure full functionality
- Provide remote and on-site support for system updates and troubleshooting
- Maintain thorough documentation of programming and configuration details
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met
- Stay current with evolving AV technologies and best practices
- Minimum 3 years of experience in AV control system programming
- Proficiency in Crestron, AMX, Extron, or Q-SYS programming (certifications highly regarded)
- Experience with DSP configuration (Biamp, Shure, Q-SYS, etc.) preferred
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals as they relate to AV systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and documentation
- Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel to project sites when required
