About the role:
An exceptional opportunity to join the Adelaide team has arisen. As the Boning Room Manager, you will effectively and efficiently manage all functions of the department in accordance with company policies and legislative requirements.
Reporting to the Plant Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Direct leadership experience as you’ll need to lead, coach and develop your team to meet cost control and rostering requirements.
- To maintain excellent department standards including drive KPI standards and quality control.
- To drive a one team culture which celebrates success and puts your team members health, safety and wellbeing first.
- Ability to look ahead, energise your team and deliver excellent standards.
- Oversee all beef specifications and yield.
- Engage with the administrative department and processes to ensure optimal procedures and documentation are carried out using computer systems.
- Adhere to and maintain budgets and Forecasts of the agreed performance elements.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience within the meat industry.
- Highly desirable exposure to a boning floor and have an intimate understanding of the industry.
- Detailed market knowledge and an understanding of constantly changing conditions with regard to supply is essential.
- You will have exceptional communication skills, strong time management skills, and be a natural problem solver.
- You are motivated and have a desire to motivate others.
- Proactive with high levels of organisation and meticulous attention to detail.
