The Company:

An award-winning and highly established home building and development company, due to continued growth are looking to hire an experienced home building BOQ Estimator and Procurement professional into their growing estimating team. 

Projects include townhouses and standalone detached homes. 

Joint responsibilities of BOQ Estimating and Procurement in a newly created hybrid role.

Would certainly appeal to someone who shares a passion for both estimating and procurement. 

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Develop and deliver BOQ files for the prompt estimation of projects
  • Generate and maintain existing BOQs within Databuild, variation catalogue, material cutting guides, standard and option recipes for the full range of the builders products
  • Procurement - Speaking with suppliers and trades
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Analytics
  • Data Analysis
  • Assist in producing direct building costs for retail/sale prices
  • Produce pricing and accurate contract output descriptions of Standard, Variation and Display options for the product range
  • Databuild/Framework
  • Manage price file requests
  • Procurement expertise would be highly regarded
  • Communicate with the business all changes and new products and ensure that pricing information is accurate across all systems.
Role Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years BOQ estimating experience with a home building company
  • Intermediate to Advanced level experience using Databuild & Framework would be highly advantageous
  • Experience working with leading estimating software packages
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • A proven track record within the home building industry
  • Strong team player
  • Able to meet deadlines
