Senior Business Development Executive - Federal & Enterprise (Hunter / Government Channel)
 
Do you have deep relationships with federal government decision‑makers and a track record closing large, complex enterprise deals? A leading Australian‑based digital communications and document management business is seeking a seasoned sales hunter to accelerate growth across the public sector and large enterprise.
 
What you'll own
  • Proactively prospect, engage and win new federal and enterprise-level accounts - from C-suite down to procurement and operational stakeholders.
  • Navigate and influence long, multi‑stage sales cycles with decision-makers across departments, agencies and enterprise clients.
  • Present and position high-value digital transformation, document‑management and secure communications solutions tailored to regulated & compliance-driven sectors.
  • Build deep trust and act as a strategic advisor, leveraging consultative sales skills to guide clients through complex procurement, compliance, security and governance requirements.
  • Drive pipeline growth and consistently deliver results, hitting or exceeding revenue targets while demonstrating a methodology‑driven, repeatable sales approach.
What you bring
  • Proven track record of winning and managing large, complex sales with federal government agencies and enterprise clients (public or private).
  • Strong network and access to federal government decision‑makers — able to open doors, build champions, navigate procurement pathways and influence stakeholders.
  • A mature and disciplined approach to long‑cycle sales; able to stay engaged for months, nurture relationships, and steer deals to close.
  • Mastery of respected sales methodologies/frameworks for complex deals — e.g. qualification frameworks like MEDDPICC / SPIN Selling, or challenger/consultative‑style selling (such as The Challenger Sale), bringing structure, discipline and clarity to each opportunity.
  • Strong commercial acumen, excellent presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to articulate value in terms of compliance, governance, cost‑efficiency and digital‑transformation outcomes.
