Business Development Executive – Federal Government (Canberra)

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Business Development Executive with strong, established relationships across Federal Government and Canberra-based agencies to drive growth within the Australian public sector.
This role is focused on developing new business and expanding strategic accounts across Federal departments, statutory authorities and central agencies. You will represent a portfolio of enterprise-grade digital solutions that support government transformation, compliance, security and citizen engagement.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
· Owning and expanding relationships across Federal Government departments and agencies based in Canberra
· Identifying, qualifying and progressing opportunities aligned to whole-of-government priorities
· Navigating Federal procurement frameworks, panels and tender processes
· Driving new business across solutions including:
o Secure digital communications (print, digital, hybrid delivery)
o Records and information management
o Digitisation of physical and digital content
o Workflow automation and compliance-driven platforms
· Working closely with solution architects and delivery teams to develop tailored proposals and value-based business cases
· Representing the organisation at government briefings, industry events and stakeholder forums
· Maintaining a robust pipeline and providing accurate forecasting

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
· Proven Federal Government sales experience, ideally with deep Canberra-based networks
· Strong relationships with senior stakeholders, procurement teams and decision-makers within Federal agencies
· A track record selling technology, digital transformation, information management or enterprise services into government
· A strong understanding of government compliance, security, privacy and records obligations
· A consultative, outcomes-focused sales approach with excellent communication and influencing skills
· Confidence engaging at both executive and operational levels within government
