We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to take the lead in driving growth across the Queensland region. This role offers the opportunity to work with a well-established provider of engineered rotating equipment solutions, servicing key industries including mining, oil & gas, water, and infrastructure.
You’ll be responsible for expanding market presence, nurturing relationships with key accounts, and delivering innovative pump and compressor solutions that meet client needs. This position is ideal for someone with a technical background in mechanical or process engineering who thrives on developing new business and building long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth across new and existing clients, focusing on pump and compressor service, repair, and new equipment solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering firms, consultants, and end users
- Manage the entire sales process from lead generation and technical discussions to proposal, negotiation, and close
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, retrofits, and packaged systems
- Work collaboratively with internal engineering, service, and project teams to deliver tailored customer solutions
- Provide accurate reporting on pipeline, forecasts, and account development activity
- Support continuous improvement in sales processes and customer engagement strategies
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering disciplines
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales or business development within the rotating equipment, industrial, or mechanical services sectors
- Sound understanding of pump systems, compressors, and related service/repair operations
- Familiarity with relevant standards such as API 610, API 685, and API 675 (desirable)
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and negotiate commercial and technical solutions
- A proactive, relationship-focused approach with strong communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel across Queensland as part of client engagement activities
