Job description
We are partnering with a globally recognised manufacturing (OEM) company, that specialises in engineering products to service the Mining Technology, Equipment & Services sector. We are actively recruiting for a Business Development Manager to continue to expand on the key accounts and generate new business for the Engineering & Projects teams.
The Business Development Manager will be based in Perth and report directly into the COO.

As the Business Development Manager your duties will include the following:
- Manage key accounts in the mining sector and generate new business - both reactively and proactively.
- You will manage a full sales cycle, input sales data, and generate reports into the company CRM.
- Play a key role in providing market insights and specific industry knowledge into the tendering process.
- Lead the team of junior sales consultants through their sales cycles, coach and mentor their professional development.
- You will be required to travel to site to visit existing and prospective customers.
- You will be play a key role in interfacing between engineering, procurement, product development, project management and the senior management teams.
- Attend industry specific product launches, training seminars and networking events.
- Conduct and attend sales meetings your team, customers and the Executive team.
- Previous sales experience in Australian mining, specifically with materials handling equipment.
- Have a proven track record operating in a similar role – 5+ year’s experience.
- Have experience managing a full sales cycle with a CRM software platform.
- Computer literate with Microsoft suite, writing reports etc.
- Have the ability/flexibility to accommodate for customer requests outside of standard business hours.
