Job Title: Business Development Manager (BDM) – APAC
Description: The BDM is responsible for growing sales throughout APAC through distribution management. A key focus for the role includes sourcing and establishing new distribution partners throughout the region and complying with the company’s due diligence processes, building brand equity, and growing sales throughout the territories. The role is also responsible for facilitating product training in support of the product management team for relevant stakeholders and establishing the go-to-market strategy.

Description: The BDM is responsible for growing sales throughout APAC through distribution management. A key focus for the role includes sourcing and establishing new distribution partners throughout the region and complying with the company’s due diligence processes, building brand equity, and growing sales throughout the territories. The role is also responsible for facilitating product training in support of the product management team for relevant stakeholders and establishing the go-to-market strategy.
Key Duties:
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing and potential distributors.
- Achieve defined financial objectives and growth targets.
- Sell and promote the product portfolio within the defined territory, including visiting end users and prospect customers with the distributor.
- Perform customer mapping and create strategies for growth.
- Attend conferences and increase brand awareness.
- Liaise with regulatory teams to assist with In Vitro Diagnostic product registrations within the territory.
- Prepare monthly sales reports and participate in regular strategy meetings with senior management.
- Conduct business reviews with the distribution network.
- Manage opportunities through the company CRM system.
- Conduct regular competitor analysis across the field.
- Oversee due diligence and governance of distribution contracts.
- Tertiary level education, such as B.Sc. or equivalent.
- Experience as a BDM throughout APAC.
- Minimum 3-5 years or more experience within the clinical diagnostic industry in a sales-related role with distribution management experience.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout APAC.
- Strong customer service focus with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of business acumen.
- A positive attitude with the drive and work ethic to meet targets.
- Initiative and the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of CRM databases.
- Previous experience within the biotech industry is preferred.
