Job description

Business Development Manager ideally qualified in Electrical, Audiovisual / Sound Engineering, Project Management or Electronics Engineering along with 5+ years’ experience selling AV systems projects - new / upgrade and ongoing service contracts to the financial services, education, leisure, defence and government sectors.

Base Criteria

Ideally qualified in Electrical, Audiovisual / Sound Engineering, Project Management or Electronics Engineering along with a strong understanding of Audiovisual systems including Upgrades, Minor Project Works through to Capex Projects up to $4M.

Outline Duties
Support and drive new business opportunities within minor works or refurbishment projects as well as Capex projects to $4 million, along with ongoing service contracts across a diverse Local / State Government, Defence, Education, Financial Services and Commercial Office client portfolio.

Skills and Attributes 
  • Over 5 years industry experience, you will have gained at least 3 years Business Development experience within an organisation delivering audio visual solutions to a mix of client premises.
  • You will have excellent Client Relationship Management skills, able to undertake site walk-rounds and identify scope of works, pricing of works and variations.
  • Able to read and interpret Architectural Drawings and undertake cost estimations.
  • Prior experience across a range of commercial projectors and flat panel displays, control panels, sound, projector security, digital signage, projector screens, document and viewing cameras and interactive whiteboards.
  • An excellent communicator, with strong English language skills, you will have an engaging personality and strong presentation skills to drive new business opportunities.
