Job description
Position Overview Report to the Facility Manager. Assist in overall operation, clinical care, compliance, and staff management of a 50-bed residential aged care facility to ensure high quality care, safety, efficiency, compliance with regulations, and resident satisfaction.

- Oversee day-to-day care operations: coordinate clinical and non-clinical staff to deliver person-centred care.
- Assist in development, implementation, review of individual care plans in consultation with clinical team, residents and families.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards and accreditation requirements (Aged Care Quality Standards, WHS, infection control, privacy).
- Monitor resident health outcomes: review incidents, clinical indicators, infection rates; initiate corrective actions.
- Support the Facility Manager in budgeting, resource allocation, rostering, and procurement.
- Supervise, coach, mentor care staff: performance reviews, training, onboarding.
- Maintain relationships with external health providers (GPs, allied health, hospitals), and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives: audits, feedback mechanisms, continuous improvement.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and timely: clinical records, regulatory reporting, incident reporting.
- Registered Nurse (Div 1, or equivalent) or relevant allied health qualification.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in aged care management / supervisory / senior clinical role.
- Proven experience with regulatory compliance, audits, risk management.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, staffing, and resources.
- Knowledge of aged care standards / legislation in [State/Territory].
