About the Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Concrete Laboratory Coordinator to take ownership of a busy, well-established laboratory located in Wacol, Brisbane. This role plays a critical part in supporting both the Research & Development and Technical Services teams — working closely with clients, the sales division, and industry partners across Australia.
You’ll oversee lab operations, concrete testing programs, and compliance activities, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency in all testing and reporting.

About the Opportunity

You’ll oversee lab operations, concrete testing programs, and compliance activities, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency in all testing and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and perform concrete mix design, raw material and QC testing programs.
- Support product development and compliance testing aligned with Australian Standards (AS1478).
- Conduct benchmarking and calibration of lab equipment, ensuring data accuracy.
- Supervise a Laboratory Assistant, coordinating workflow and ensuring a safe, organised work environment.
- Prepare scientific reports and recommendations for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technical and sales teams on customer troubleshooting, recipe design, and product performance.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 frameworks.
To be successful, you will have:
- Qualifications in Science, Chemistry, Engineering (Civil/Mechanical), or Laboratory Techniques (TAFE).
- 5+ years’ experience in a concrete or admixtures laboratory environment.
- Understanding of Australian Standards and testing procedures for concrete.
- Strong organisational and reporting skills.
- The ability to work independently and lead lab operations.
- Current driver’s licence and full Australian working rights.
