Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Reporting to the Project manager and Construction Director, you will provide internal and external support with the management and completion of administrative tasks and achieve contract execution in accordance with contract terms throughout the lifecycle of medium to large scale projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Management and administration of Subcontractor performance against scope of works.
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers including the issuing of scopes of work documents for trades required to complete the project in accordance with the construction program ensuring the most efficient use of resources.
- Accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
- Regular monitoring of the Procurement schedule to ensure it is aligned to the project budget with any discrepancies being reported to the Construction Manager.
- Ensure all variation requests and pricing are approved by the Project Manager/s or Construction Director.
- Priorities tasks and adapt when required to meet deadlines.
- Prepare Project Status documentation in a timely manner.
- Actively involved in the full lifecycle of multiple large-scale construction projects.
- Actively help other members in your team to ensure the success of the team as a whole.
- Attendance at site client meetings to assist in strengthening client relationships.
Role Requirements:
- minimum 3 years’ experience as a contract’s administrator in the building industry
- Fitout experience is essential
- Well-developed negotiation skills
- Ability to solve disputes in a professional manner
- Must have experience delivering large commercial projects
- Experience with Microsoft office products or relevant software (Build tools, Aconex)
- Strong Planning and organizational skills
- Prior experience in project work within the building and construction industry
