My client is a well known supplier of specialty Raw Materials. They now seek an experienced customer service professional to provide critical information sharing, communication and relationship building between the company and its customers for the timely supply and delivery of raw materials from overseas markets to the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and stock feed industries within Australia and New Zealand.
The Role:
- Based from a Sydney office and working with a dynamic team of professionals, you will be responsible for all Customer service enquiries, Order Systems, Exports, Processing stock items, Reporting and Value Add selling.
- Duties such as:
- Provide accurate, valid and complete confirmation of customer orders (product/price/lead time)
- Provide accurate updates on orders/delays to customers
- Actively follow up on blanket order (B/O) call offs and advise Account Manager as B/O is near completion
- Manage customer B/Os effectively with stock levels maintained
- Interaction with customers to follow up on products not ordered recently
- Handle initial new enquiries via phone and web to ascertain priority and region for Account managers
- Generate sales leads by conversing with customers
- Generate open order reports for Key accounts/Account Managers as required
- Liaise with procurement on long lead time items and stock levels
- Manage customer complaint system
- Maintain contacts database, advise Account Managers of changes
The Candidate:
This is a pivotal role within the organisation, and central to their operations and interface with Customers. Candidates must have:
- 6+ years’ experience in a customer service role with in any distribution company (Key elements: a product, that’s imported and then stored in a local warehouse)
- High level of attention to detail and robust administration skills
- Problem solving/conflict resolution skills IE: Able to understand and fix issues as they arise.
- This role requires sales ability. IE: To see the big picture, go the extra mile, to assure maximum growth with every customer. Ability to see and pin point areas where the company can provide additional products and solutions
- Experienced in Imports / Shipments - Highlighting and reporting
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite of products
- Excellent communication and time management skills
