Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to join the team on large scale High rise Residential electrical projects throughout the Sydney area. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of electricians and ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervising and managing the work of electricians and other workers to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects.
  • Planning and coordinating the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and local codes.
  • Identifying potential electrical hazards and taking appropriate measures to ensure safety on the job site.
  • Ensuring that all work is performed to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Monitoring project progress and budget, and making adjustments as needed to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ordering materials and supplies necessary for electrical work, and keeping accurate records of all expenses.
  • Training and mentoring electricians and apprentices to ensure that they are able to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Communicating with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met.
  • Ensuring that all work complies with local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
  • Troubleshooting electrical problems and determining the most effective solutions to resolve them.
Requirements:
  • Competency in co-ordination of rough-ins and fit- offs.
  • Knowledgeable in Dry Fire, CCTV, Security & Access Control.
  • Organized with great time management skills.
  • Can communicate with client/builder in a professional manner. Customer service is always top priority.
  • Great communication skills, with good verbal and written skills.
  • Maintain and endorse works to OH&S regulations.
  • Can prepare and amend SWMS documentation to suit tasks at hand.
  • Ability to read electrical plans and have a good understanding of electrical and wiring diagrams.
  • Have good feedback and input in the design process to help streamline site works.
  • Confidently run a team of up to 10-30 tradesmen plus sub-contractors.
  • Attention to detail must be excellent and always enforce quality workmanship.
  • Need to have a good attitude, motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and well presented.
  • Good with a laptop.
