Field Service Electrician – Industrial Gases | Mackay Region

A global Industrial Gases company is seeking a driven and self-reliant QLD Licensed Electrician.

This is a hands-on field service role covering sites throughout the Mackay region. You'll be working independently to maintain, repair and support gas equipment across a diverse customer base, from local industry to regional infrastructure sites.

What’s on offer:

• Hourly rate $60–$63/hr + super
• Fully maintained company vehicle + fuel card
• Plent of OT, time and a half & double time after 3 hours
• Standard 38-hour week, with flexible start times

The role:

• Perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and breakdown response for company-owned and serviced industrial gas systems
• Manage site visits across the region
• Work autonomously while maintaining high personal standards
• Communicate clearly with customers, identify issues, and propose effective solutions
• Represent the business professionally while working independently in the field

You’ll need:

• QLD Electrical Licence
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a field or industrial maintenance role
• A strong work ethic and ability to manage your schedule without close supervision
• Solid communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude
• A clean driving record and willingness to travel
• The right to work in Australia

Bonus if you have:

• Exposure to gas reticulation systems, instrumentation, or rotating equipment
• Experience with air compressors or automated systems
• High Risk Work Licences (EWP, Forklift, Rigging, Confined Spaces)
