The Role

We are partnering with a national consultancy organisation to find a Project Director to lead teams delivering major projects, while setting strategic direction and ensuring all works align with contractual obligations and defence/federal government standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Project Managers, consultants, and multidisciplinary advisory/delivery teams.
  • Oversee project delivery, procurement, and alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with defence clients, government bodies, and senior stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop consulting staff.
  • Act as the primary in-state point of contact for client and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years’ experience in senior Project Management or Engineering consulting roles, with at least 5+ years leading project delivery teams.
  • 5+ years’ experience delivering defence upgrades, infrastructure projects, or high-profile federal site projects.
  • Background in defence, government, infrastructure, or major capital projects, with an NV1 clearance.
  • Proven experience managing multiple teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Degree in Engineering (Civil, electrical or Mechanical), Construction, or a related field, and/or formal PMP training.
