An award-winning and national residential townhouse and detached housing building company, due to strong growth are now looking to hire an Estimating Manager to join their growing senior management team.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Leading, managing and holding team members accountable
- Support estimators with training and support day-to-day
- Implementing improvements to processes and product
- Ensuring staff members are meeting their individual and project KPI
- Provide accurate information to the leadership team on achievements, issues & possible business opportunities, and provide solutions to resolve issues and progress business outcomes
- Contribute to the Leadership Team by sharing operational ideas and experience, as well as seeking out and exploring strategic opportunities for the company.
- Maintain and update master plan estimates
- Updating trade and supplier pricing
- Review and update trade rates sheets
- Review and update quote/variations pricelist (including upgrades and design prices)
- Provide material/labour comparable
- Maintain spec sheets
- Review margin erosion reports and implement solutions to identified issues
- Provide sales estimating approval to sales team during the preliminary stage
- Providing ad-hoc customer pricing items to project coordinator, sales team, and colour selections
- Minimum 4 years of estimating experience within the home building industry is essential and required.
- Highly advantageous to have previous experience in a leadership or management position within estimating
- Project Management or relevant construction tertiary education
- Proven time management and organisational skills
- Advanced Databuild experience required
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to learn new systems and software
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Understand how to train and motivate staff and lead the team to achieve desired outcomes
