Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a motivated and technically capable External Sales Engineer to manage and develop a customer base within a defined territory.

About the Role
This is a hands-on, client-facing sales role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy and thrives on technical problem-solving. You’ll be the trusted advisor to your clients, working closely with them to provide tailored valve, pump, actuator, and instrumentation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an existing portfolio of key accounts while proactively seeking new business opportunities
  • Conduct on-site visits to understand client operations and technical requirements
  • Recommend appropriate products and solutions based on technical specifications and site conditions
  • Respond to tenders, prepare detailed quotations, and negotiate commercial terms
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, service, and procurement teams to deliver end-to-end customer solutions
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to increase brand visibility
  • Report on sales activity, pipeline, and market intelligence to support strategic growth
What You’ll Bring
  • Demonstrated experience in technical sales, preferably in valves, pumps, mechanical equipment, or fluid handling systems
  • Background in engineering (Mechanical, Process, Industrial) or a trade-qualified technician with sales experience
  • Knowledge of industrial process applications and the ability to read technical drawings/specs
  • High level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Current driver's license and willingness to travel regionally as needed
