Workshop based Fabricator / Welder - East Melbourne

Join an international manufacturer and service provider of load-handling and truck-mounted equipment, with a reputation for quality engineering and innovation. We’re looking for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join our Installation team and help meet growing demand across our national operation.

What you’ll do

• Fabricate and assemble components for truck body and equipment installations
• MIG weld structural and mild steel to specification
• Prep, grind and finish to high workshop standards
• Work from detailed engineering drawings
• Operate workshop tools including bandsaws, grinders and overhead cranes
• Assist with light mechanical fit-up (hoses, tanks, brackets, pumps)

What we’re looking for

• Trade background in Fabrication, Welding or Fitting
• Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills
• Ability to read drawings and work safely with power tools and cranes
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Reliable, safety-focused and team-oriented
