Field Service Engineer / Technician – Automation & Mechatronics

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in preventative maintenance – all levels considered.
• Background in automation or industrial equipment – a bonus!
• Tertiary qualification in mechatronics, electrical, or mechanical trades – ideal but not essential.
• PLC debugging & troubleshooting – highly desirable.

What you’ll be doing:

• Diagnose and repair technical issues onsite and remotely.
• Service and maintain automated machinery for peak performance.
• Optimise system functionality and troubleshoot faults.
• Build strong customer relationships through expert support.
• Install and commission new machinery.
• Collaborate with engineers for product improvements.
• Provide training on system operation and maintenance.
• Travel (local, interstate, and international) as required.

Essential Skills:

• Mechanical fitting abilities.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and fault-find.
• Programming experience – a big plus!
• Experience in troubleshooting / fault finding automated equipment.
• Confident communicator with great customer service skills.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $90k - $100k + Super + allowances 
Location: MELBOURNE, VIC
