The Role
An opportunity exists for a Senior Grade A Electrician / Fire Panel Technician to join the team in Sydney. This is a hands-on technical role with leadership responsibility, acting as a Team Leader on site and supporting the Service Manager with coordination of technicians.
You will play a key role in panel works, fault finding, programming, commissioning and mentoring junior technicians while ensuring all works are delivered safely and in line with Australian Standards.

You will play a key role in panel works, fault finding, programming, commissioning and mentoring junior technicians while ensuring all works are delivered safely and in line with Australian Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, testing, commissioning and fault finding of fire detection and alarm systems
- Fire panel programming and configuration
- Rectification and upgrade works across commercial and industrial sites
- Acting Team Leader on service and project works
- Ensuring compliance with AS3000, AS1670, AS1851 and relevant legislation
- Completing service documentation, reports and compliance records
- Liaising directly with clients, builders and facility managers on site
- Grade A Electrical Licence
- Strong experience working with fire detection and alarm panels
- Proven experience in panel programming and commissioning
- Sound understanding of BCA/NCC and relevant Australian Standards
- Strong fault-finding capability
- Clear communication skills and professional presentation
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- FPAS Inspect & Test accreditation
- Experience across EWIS, suppression or special hazard systems
- Exposure to Simpro or similar job management systems
- AFSS or compliance reporting experience
- Senior position with leadership responsibility
