General Manager – Support at Home
  
A senior leadership role driving strategy, performance, and transformation across in-home and community aged care services.

This position carries full accountability for operational delivery, financial performance, regulatory compliance and workforce leadership across Support at Home and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) services. The role operates at executive level, translating strategy into execution while preparing the organisation for major sector reform.

The Role
  • Lead end-to-end operations across in-home and community care programs
  • Drive service performance, financial sustainability and growth outcomes
  • Oversee transition from CHSP into Support at Home ahead of 2027 reform
  • Ensure full compliance with aged care legislation, quality standards and funding requirements
  • Own budget performance, funding utilisation, pricing input and cost control
  • Lead, mentor, and build capability across a multi-disciplinary leadership team
  • Strengthen clinical governance, quality frameworks and continuous improvement
  • Act as senior escalation point for regulators, audits and risk management
  • Build strategic partnerships across community, government and sector stakeholders
  • Report directly to executive leadership and contribute at Board level
Scope
  • Full P&L responsibility across community care programs
  • Leadership of multiple direct reports across operations, clinical, and program management
  • Oversight of large-scale service delivery including high-volume client packages
  • Accountability for workforce planning, capability and retention
  • Ownership of operational readiness for sector reform and funding model changes
About You
  • Proven senior leadership experience in aged care, community services, or complex health environments
  • Strong financial and operational management capability with budget accountability
  • Deep understanding of aged care funding models, compliance and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams through change and transformation
  • Track record improving service delivery, quality outcomes and operational efficiency
  • Confident engaging with executive stakeholders, Boards and external regulators
  • Commercially astute with the ability to balance care outcomes and financial sustainability
  • Clear, decisive leadership style with strong accountability and execution focus
