Geospatial (GIS) Architect

Job description

The Role

You will be responsible for designing complex systems that manage, integrate, and analyse location-based (geospatial) data to support mapping, visualisation, and spatial decision-making. This role will be supporting federal government sites across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team and mentor a team of GIS analysts and technical specialists.
  • Develop and implement a GIS roadmap aligned with estate priorities, data and asset management frameworks.  
  • Analyse spatial data and risk by using analytics and predictions and hazard modelling.  
  • Collaborate with the HSEQ team to maintain strong quality assurance and continuous improvement practices.
Requirements:
  • Be an Australian Citizen and be able to secure a NV1 Clearance.
  • Hold a valid Australian Driver’s License.
  • Experience using ESRI or SAP software such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
  • Have a degree in Geography, GIS or Engineering.
  • Able to collaborate within a complex environment and multiple stakeholders.
  • Bring strong strategic thinking and innovative problem-solving skills.
