The Organisation:

The Sydney-recognised food organisation is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor. Based at the Sydneynam 2044, the site is going from strength to strength, they are currently expanding with new products so they need more oversight for safety due to the increase in headcount. You will create the safety structure on site, you will contribute to the safety onsite, you will be hands on to make sure everything is running according to the safety structure needed on site. 

The company has grown over the last few years and now is the time to bring the company to the next level. This ensures that customer’s product expectations are delivered throughout the companies end to end process.  

The Role:

This role will be reporting to the General Manager, this role will be part of the senior leadership team onsite. This role will be for 6 months but will turn into a permanent role seeing that the role is a good fit for the client and candidate.
 
Responsibilities:

• Support with the implementation of company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Design and implement Health & Safety improvement initiatives across the site. 
• Assist with audits, inspections, and observations to ensure sites are meeting the requirements of Health & Safety legislation and company policies and procedures.
• Coordinating rehabilitation and return to work programs in align with the companies return to work policies.
• Assist on incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Skills and experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role within FMCG environment.
• Risk Management and competition of risk assessments. Incident reports and completing incident investigations.
• Completed Tertiary Qualifications in Health & Safety (Minimum of Certificate III) 
• Strong written & verbal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• The ability to work independently and consistently and also in a team environment
