The Company:
AustCorp Executive Recruitment are working with a large Facility Management organisation in New Zealand, with a strong client base of high profile globally recognised and local clients. 

The Role:
This Health and Safety Manager is an individual contributor working with  facilities management operators and management to deliver the HSE program in a facility management / building services environment.

FM Services provided on site are cleaning, catering, security, groundskeeping, technical maintenance (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), office relocations, fit-outs etc. across multiple sites. Sectors include healthcare, education, manufacturing, corporate offices, retail etc.

This is a hands-on position, where the successful candidate will:
  • Ensure HSE policies and processes are being implemented
  • Conduct training, toolbox meetings etc
  • Provide advice to senior leadership team in NZ and provide feedback and reporting to GM
  • Prepare sites for ACC Audits
  • Maintain the incident database
  • Build up the existing safety capabilities
Ideal profile would be a self starter with a practical, hands on approach, good communication and engagement up and down the line.
  
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an all-round HSE role
  • Experience within a services industry, manufacturing or healthcare environment with multiple sites is preferable
  • Strong understanding of the safety legislation
  • Knowledge of audit process (ACC, ISO etc)
  • Ability to work independently, taking initiative and responsibility for national health and safety requirements
  • Implement improvements to existing processes
  • Confident communicator to provide advice to the C-Suite, feedback to local and regional management teams, as well as being connected with operators on site.
