AUSTCORP are recruiting for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic where you will be maintaining a fleet of plant and equipment. Reporting to the head mechanic you will be responsible for the servicing of plant such as heavy vehicles, pavers, loaders and rollers.

Annually $117K - $142K - Higher based on skill and experience
Starting Minimum - Higher Starting Rates on Offer Based on Experience

Please note this role will initially be offered as a contract casual

• Normal time - $42.50PH Permanent Rate | Casual $53.13PH
• Time and a Half - $63.75PH Permanent Rate | Casual $79.70PH
• Double Time - $85.00PH Permanent Rate | Casual $106.26PH
• Weekends at OT rates  

Responsibilities

• Performing all preventive maintenance activities and scheduled servicing on vehicles and equipment.
• Repairs to equipment either in the workshop or onsite at a breakdown location.
• Locate any additional faults in equipment outside of requested service or repair
• Repair faulty or damaged mechanical parts
• Record accurately the job details in computer system
• Working to meet short sharp deadlines under minimal supervision.

Seeking

• Trade qualifications in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanics or Engineering in Mechanical Trade, with experience as a qualified Mechanic
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Previous experience in providing maintenance and repairs to heavy equipment in the civil industry – Heavy vehicles, Graders, Loaders, Mixers, Rollers, Spreaders etc.

Licences

• Current Drivers Licence - HR Licence or above is highly regarded
• Construction Induction Card
• Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space is highly regarded
