Job description
Austcorp Executive is partnering with a Global Mining Services company to source a HR Business Partner to continue to support the continuous improvement and mining operations onsite - in a FIFO capacity, in the state of Queensland.
As the HR Business Partner you will be the lead for the HR function onsite, there will be a strong focus on employee relations and industrial relations as well as generalist advisory and operational duties.

As the HR Business Partner you will be the lead for the HR function onsite, there will be a strong focus on employee relations and industrial relations as well as generalist advisory and operational duties.
Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Have a deep understanding of a mine site landscape from an industrial relations and employee relations perspective.
- Be the key HR contact for the Maintenance Manager and Operational Mining Superintendents.
- Main support for frontline management out in the field you need to coach and advise for performance management, disputes and resolution matters.
- Demonstrates confidence, discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive matters such as grievances, misconduct, and psychological injury claims.
- Communicates effectively and respectfully, with the ability to influence, coach and guide others through complex or challenging ER issues.
- Operationally aware, with sound understanding of WHS obligations, Fitness for Work standards, and the practical application of enterprise agreements and legislation in a site-based environment.
Your Qualifications and Competencies will include:
- Minimum Bachelor degree qualified in Business Administration, Human resources or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources - (ER/IR) within mining, heavy manufacturing or mining services and support sectors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian workplace relations legislation and enterprise agreements.
- Strong understanding of WHS obligations in high-risk environments.
- Advanced interpersonal skills to be able to comfortably navigate through complex issues on mine sites.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skillset to be able to manage multiple moving parts in conjunction with each other.
- Options to fly from Brisbane, Townsville, Rockhampton or Cairns on a 5-2, 4-3 roster.
- Fly on company time.
- Reports directly into the HR Superintendent.
