The Company:

Our client is nationally recognised, highly established Civil Landscape and Civil  Construction company and due to continued growth are looking to hire a junior to intermediate level Estimator/CA to join their busy team in Sydney.

Our client is open to either a Estimator or CA experienced individual with full training provided across both areas in this hybrid role. 

The Role:

A rare opportunity has now become available for an CA/Estimator join a highly respected and established company, creating tenders on Civil Landscape Projects valued between $1 Million and $40 Million. 
 
Key purpose of the role is to provide support to the estimating team by assisting in the preparation of tender submissions and project procurement.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Working within the wider estimating team to assist with the preparation and submission of tenders
  • Assist in preparing and submitting of tenders based on the documentation provided by clients
  • Prepare and submit request for tender packages to our supplier and subcontractor network
  • Working within a collaborative team environment
  • The use of estimating programs to complete tender submissions
  • Assist in project procurement once the tender has been secured
  • Prepare and submit request for quotes to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Formulate an analysis once supplier and subcontractor quotes have been received against the project budget
  • Assist in contract preparation
  • Assist in the preparation of completing project handovers to the construction team
Role Requirements:
  • Minimum 12 months working experience as an estimator or CA within the civil construction and/or civil landscaping industries 
  • Civil Engineering Degree or Tertiary Qualifications would be highly advantageous
  • The ability to work towards deadlines in a structured manner
  • The ability to prioritise conflicting demands
  • Excellent communication skills
  • General understanding of the construction industry
  • Well-developed negotiation skills.
  • Ability to solve disputes in a professional manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques.
  • Advanced time management skills.
  • Strong Planning and organisational skills.
  • Facilitate handover meetings according to the existing procedures.
