Job description

Looking to step up and own a project that actually changes how a workshop runs?
We're working with a leading manufacturer that’s upgrading their Extra Processing Division — and they need a seasoned machinist or sheet metal tradesperson to take charge of the floor, improve workflows, train staff and help plan their next-generation machine shop.

This isn’t just turning the handle — you’ll be:
  • Reshaping workshop layout for better flow and efficiency
  • Setting best-practice machining and fabrication standards
  • Coaching a small team and influencing change
  • Scoping tools and processes for expanded services (milling, drilling, stud welding, and more)
What You’ll Bring:
  • Trade-qualified in machining or sheet metal
  • Strong experience in metal fabrication and shop floor optimisation
  • Confident leading from the front — this is hands-on, not clipboard management
  • Practical, solutions-driven, and ready to make a real impact
Why This Role?
  • Autonomy to run your own improvement project
  • Work with a team that’s open to change
  • Short-term contract with strong day rate and flexibility
