Overview
This role provides remote technical support for proprietary nurse call and communication systems used across healthcare environments. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues across Linux servers, Proxmox virtual platforms and network infrastructure, ensuring systems remain operational and clients are supported promptly and professionally.

You’ll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues across Linux servers, Proxmox virtual platforms and network infrastructure, ensuring systems remain operational and clients are supported promptly and professionally.
Key Duties
- Respond to, investigate and resolve support tickets via Zendesk
- Provide remote diagnostics across Linux, Proxmox and virtualised environments
- Troubleshoot network-related issues including VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing and firewalls
- Manage and prioritise your own queue of tickets to meet response and resolution targets
- Communicate clearly with clients throughout the support process
- Escalate complex issues where required while maintaining ownership of outcomes
- Technical qualification, trade certification or university degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 3 years in remote support, managed services, or technical helpdesk environments
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Proxmox would be a bonus but similar experience will be considered
- Background supporting networked environments and server infrastructure
- Experience using Zendesk or similar ticketing platforms
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems (preferred, not essential)
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Ability to troubleshoot issues across virtual machines and network layers
- Professional client communication skills
- Self-managed, organised, and able to work independently
