Maintenance Electrician – Day Shift | Industrial Manufacturing
Location: Yatala, QLD
Rate: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour + OT + Tool & Site Allowances
Hours: Monday to Friday: 6.00AM - 2.00PM
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to take on a key role across preventative maintenance, fault finding, and minor project upgrades. The site runs modern roll-forming and plastics machinery, with a strong focus on automation, safety, and reliability.
You’ll act as the resident electrician for the shift, supported by subcontractors when needed and working alongside a capable maintenance and engineering team.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Attending to breakdowns and conducting preventative maintenance
- Fault finding and testing across electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Supporting automation and controls upgrades across bespoke machinery
- Maintaining and improving equipment including:
- Roll forming lines (light gauge steel)
- Plastic injection moulding systems
- Materials handling and packaging machinery
- Interpreting schematics and drawings for plant equipment
- Working with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs
- Supporting safety system upgrades (e.g., PILZ safety relays, light curtains)
- Participating in site-based projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Trade qualified Electrician
- 5+ years’ industrial experience – preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or materials processing
- Strong PLC fault finding and programming ability (Allen Bradley, Siemens ideal)
- Comfortable working on roll forming, injection moulding, or bespoke automated systems
- Good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and safety systems
- Able to interpret electrical schematics and resolve faults under pressure
- Confined Space, EWP, and relevant site tickets preferred (allowances paid)
- $55.00/hr + OT penalties
