Maintenance Electrician

Job description

Our client is a well-established food manufacturer with a high-performing site in regional New South Wales. With ongoing investment in automation, preventative maintenance systems and capital upgrades, the business is now seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their team.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance across production and utilities on a 2/2 roster. This includes:

• Carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance across plant and equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on automated machinery and control systems
• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and improve reliability
• Assisting with installation, commissioning and improvement projects
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures
• Keeping accurate maintenance records and contributing to continuous improvement

About You

We’re looking for an electrical tradesperson who brings:

• NSW Electrical Licence (mandatory)
• Proven maintenance experience in manufacturing, food, FMCG, or industrial environments
• Strong fault-finding capability across automated equipment and control systems
• Confidence working safely and independently across a fast-paced site
• Exposure to PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) – ability to troubleshoot advantageous
• A proactive approach with good communication and teamwork skills
