About the Role

Our client is an Australian owned business with manufacturing facilities in NSW and VIC. We have an opportunity for a trade qualified Maintenance Electrician at their state of the art facility.

You will provide a range of maintenance services for the site and responsibilities will include working on breakdowns, planned and preventative maintenance, installations and general maintenance as required. 

You will provide support to the production teams and will use your solid problem-solving skills to efficiently fault find and repair breakdowns with confidence.
  

Purpose of the Role:
  • Working safely and ensuring the safety of those around you.
  • The delivery of reliable, efficient, and safe routine preventative maintenance activities.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with plant and machinery that are of a mechanical nature.
  • Responding to breakdowns through prioritising and carrying out repairs in a safe manner.
  • Working with the Maintenance Manager and Supervisors to conduct root cause analysis on failures and ensuring follow up on identified actions.
  • Maintaining all registers, logs and systems to track repairs, notifications and work activities.
  • Liaise with Production Supervisors and machine operators about performance of equipment.

About You:
  • 3+ years’ experience as an Maintenance Electrician in a high-speed packaging environment - preferably from a food production/packaging environment or other FMCG background.
  • Instrumentation Experience
  • Factory/production background with a high level trouble shooting / fault finding capability.
  • Flexibility within very tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands
  • Understanding of budgets and the requirements of working in a food processing plant including GMPs and maintenance housekeeping.
