Maintenance Fitter

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

A global leader in food manufacturing with a strong presence in Australia is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join their shift team at their advanced production facility in Adelaide.

This is a full-time, permanent role in a highly automated environment where you’ll play a critical part in ensuring plant reliability, safety, and minimal downtime across production lines.

You will be on a rotating shift each week (days, afternoons, nights). Overtime is available.
  
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance and attending to reactive breakdowns across a wide range of mechanical equipment
  • Fault finding and repairs on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other plant systems
  • Assisting with machinery improvements and continuous improvement projects
  • Working closely with production and other trades to maintain uptime and efficiency
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed and adhering to safety and quality standards
  
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills and ability to work independently
  • Familiar with automated machinery and continuous processing equipment
  • Team player with a safety-first mindset and strong communication skills
