We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a leading food manufacturing site located 10-15 minutes south-west of Bendigo. This is a full-time day shift, Monday to Friday position, offering a stable schedule, strong work-life balance, and a competitive salary.

Reporting to the Maintenance or Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining production and packaging equipment across key processing areas. You'll play a critical role in minimising downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance on processing and packaging machinery
- Mechanical fault finding across pneumatics, hydraulics, and gearboxes
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and complete effective repairs
- Equipment setup, calibration, and adjustments for production runs
- Fault finding and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Adhere to safety, hygiene, and food compliance standards
- Complete CMMS (MEX) maintenance reporting and handovers
- Support apprentices and work closely with electrical and production teams
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or similar
- Experience in food, FMCG, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Machining or welding skills advantageous (not essential)
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Heavy Diesel / HD Fitters with strong mechanical backgrounds encouraged to apply
