Maintenance Manager – Food Manufacturer

A major player in the food manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead operations at their state-of-the-art facility in Greenacre.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage a team of Electrical and Mechanical Supervisors, championing safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across the site.
You’ll play a key role in coaching, developing, and empowering your team to deliver operational objectives while fostering a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all maintenance operations across the site, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance
• Champion safety by ensuring full compliance with PPE, environmental, and inspection standards
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules with 90%+ PM compliance
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to reduce downtime and boost productivity
• Oversee repairs, spare parts inventory, and maintenance budgets
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), lead risk assessments, and drive loss elimination initiatives
• Build and develop a high-performing maintenance team through strategic workforce planning, training, and performance management

What You Will Bring

• Proven leadership and engineering management experience within food, FMCG, or manufacturing (corrugated board experience desirable)
• Strong technical background in engineering, maintenance, or reliability
• Demonstrated experience managing supervisors and leading high-performing teams
• A continuous improvement mindset with knowledge of Lean or CI methodologies
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels
• Solid experience in budget management, planning, and compliance
