Full-Time Maintenance Officer
Aged Care premises
This role suits a practical, self-sufficient Maintenance Officer who takes ownership of keeping facilities safe, functional, and presentable. The position supports residents by ensuring buildings, grounds and shared spaces are consistently maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building tasks
- Maintain gardens and outdoor areas through mowing, hedging, sweeping, hosing, and general grounds upkeep
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance in line with site plans
- Respond to unplanned and reactive maintenance requests across assigned areas
- Oversee maintenance activities to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met
- Actively support and follow Work Health and Safety practices
- Full Australia work rights - No sponsorship opportunities
- Current driver’s licence
- Basic to intermediate skills using mobile devices, laptops, and desktop systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous maintenance experience in aged care or retirement living environments preferred
- Background in building, plumbing, welding, fitter and turner, or similar trades desirable
- Trade qualification desirable but not essential
