The Opportunity

Full-Time Maintenance Officer 

Aged Care premises
 
This role suits a practical, self-sufficient Maintenance Officer who takes ownership of keeping facilities safe, functional, and presentable. The position supports residents by ensuring buildings, grounds and shared spaces are consistently maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building tasks
  • Maintain gardens and outdoor areas through mowing, hedging, sweeping, hosing, and general grounds upkeep
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance in line with site plans
  • Respond to unplanned and reactive maintenance requests across assigned areas
  • Oversee maintenance activities to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met
  • Actively support and follow Work Health and Safety practices
What You Bring
  • Full Australia work rights - No sponsorship opportunities 
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Basic to intermediate skills using mobile devices, laptops, and desktop systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Previous maintenance experience in aged care or retirement living environments preferred
  • Background in building, plumbing, welding, fitter and turner, or similar trades desirable
  • Trade qualification desirable but not essential
