Marine Estimator

AustCorp Executive is partnering with a well-established engineering contractor servicing the Mining and Infrastructure sectors.

The role we are recruiting is for a Marine Estimator. You’ll support the Business Development and project teams to deliver competitive and compliant tenders across marine scopes.

The Role
  • Manage the end-to-end estimating process for tenders.
  • Review drawings/specs, complete take-offs, develop methodology-aligned build-ups and tender strategies.
  • Identify and articulate risks and opportunities, including cost impacts through the tender review process.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients to manage clarifications, addenda and pricing.
  • Prepare estimate documentation including exclusions/qualifications, price schedules, bid summaries and supporting submissions.
  • Assist with variations/claims pricing for live projects where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of tendering processes, templates and quality standards.
The Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or related discipline.
  • Strong first-principles estimating experience is essential.
  • Demonstrated Australian estimating experience in a construction / mining / infrastructure environment, with exposure to marine scopes highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience using Expert Estimation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders concurrently with strong attention to detail and clear stakeholder communication.
