We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Mechanical Design Draftsperson to join our collaborative and high-performing team. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end design processes – from concept through to fabrication – helping bring complex machines to life with a strong focus on hygiene, efficiency, and performance.

What You’ll Do:
  • Create 2D and 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using Inventor (or similar)
  • Design custom stainless steel machinery for food-grade packaging lines
  • Liaise with internal teams including fabrication, sales, and project engineers
  • Ensure designs meet relevant safety, hygiene, and functional standards
  • Modify and improve existing designs to suit evolving client needs
  • Support prototype builds and troubleshooting during testing/commissioning
What You’ll Bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Proven experience designing machinery or fabricated components, ideally for food or packaging environments
  • Strong CAD skills – Inventor preferred
  • Sound knowledge of stainless steel design and fabrication methods
  • Understanding of hygienic design principles and industry regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve on the fly
Why Join Us?
  • Work with a supportive team in a fast-paced, growing manufacturing business
  • Be hands-on in the full design-to-build lifecycle
  • Play a key role in delivering bespoke, Australian-made machinery
  • On-site workshop, collaborative environment, and real impact
If you're a creative, practical, and solutions-driven designer who enjoys turning ideas into real-world machinery, we’d love to hear from you.
